STUDY HALLS

Library has cariied out renovation and construction to enhance the availability of study spaces. Now library can accommodate about 507 students at any given time. Folowing are the study spaces available for you.

Ground Floor

This is the sprawling area that you see as soon as you enter library. About 100 students can sit here and study. The Study tables have laptop charging points with comfortable chairs to support long hours of study

NewsPaper /Magazine Area: This is located right opposite Circulation Counter and has provision for about 35 students to sit and read newspapers and magazines.

MK Tata Centre has about 25 Study spaces for teh visually challenged students.

First Floor

The Cyber Library provides study spaces for about 100 students. The computer table are designed in such a way that the users can access eResources and also have enough table space to keep and read print resources during btheir study time. This hall is airconditioned.

 

Second Floor

This floor provides provision for about 70 students to study. It is located next to Inflibnet Centre and Data Centre. The Study tables have laptop charging points with comfortable chairs to support long hours of study. Students can enter stack rooms directly from this floor, if they wish to refer books.

Third Floor

This houses Cyber Library for Mphil/PhD Scholars. This serious study and research zone can accommodate about 55 scholars. The computer table are designed in such a way that the users can access eResources and also have enough table space to keep and read print resources during btheir study time. This hall is airconditioned.

Fourth Floor (Stack Side)

This is the sprawling hall on the fourth floor and about 110 students can sit and study. Being the largest reading hall of the library, this most populated and is the “SILENCE ZONE” , conduicive of serious study. Study tables have laptop charging points with comfortable chairs to support long hours of study.
