Society for Information Science (SIS) conferred the SIS-Raizada  Memorial Young Information Scientist Award for the year 2008 to Dr. Mallikarjun Angadi, Information Scientist, TISS. The award along with the citation was presented on 6th December, 2008 during the 25th Silver Jubilee Year’s National Convention & Conference of SIS held at the Indian Institute of Management, Indore.

Indian Library Association conferred the ILA - Dr. L. M. Padhya Best University Library Award for the year 2008 to Sir Dorabji Tata Memorial Library, Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai. The award along with the citation was presented on 12th November 2008 during the ILA-TISS International Conference held at Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai.

ILA-KAULA Best Librarian Award for the year 2007 has been conferred to Dr. Muttayya Koganuramath, Librarian, TISS. The award along with the citation was presented on 13th December 2007 during the 53rd ILA national Conference held at Osmania University, Hyderabad.
